Golden Heart Angels in Motion
The Golden Heart Angels in Motion (GHAM) prepare and deliver kindness and delicious and nutritious meals to our friends living on the streets in Fairbanks. During our cold weather months, we provide a warm place and lunch every Tuesday at St. Matthews Episcopal church. In addition, our friends can pick up new socks, hats, gloves and gently-worn warm coats. All are welcome at our table!
Tolovana Roadhouse
The Tanana River’s ever-changing channels began to erode the bank in front of the roadhouse in the mid 2010’s. Since that time, bank loss has been accelerating. A combination of continuing channel shift and high water in the fall of 2025 caused the sudden catastrophic loss of nearly 15 feet of the remaining land in front of the old structure, and necessitated the urgent move of an outbuilding to prevent it from being undermined by the river.
