Americorp VISTA Member Orientation

Onboarding orientation for new Americorp VISTA members will provide a welcome to the two volunteers coming to Fairbanks for a year-long service commitment.

VISTA volunteers help develop organizational capacity in communities and focus on activities that improve lives for low-income individuals and families. New VISTA positions are possible in October, depending on federal funding approval for Americorps.

Fairbanks VISTA members will be working with the Alaska Songbird Institute and the Fairbanks Soil and Water Conservation District starting September 1st. The North Star Community Foundation is the VISTA sponsor for Fairbanks Americorps activities.
