Your North Star Community Foundation

Welcome to the
North Star Community Foundation (NSCF)

a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the heart of Fairbanks, Alaska. NSCF improves the quality of life in Interior Alaska through facilitating philanthropy, community development, and public service.

Through our non-profit status, expertise, and fiscal sponsorship, we provide organizational mentoring and financial management support to member projects, and build community through synergy and cooperation.

At NSCF, we are dedicated to empowering the passionate individuals and groups of Interior Alaska who strive to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond. Since 2008, NSCF has been proud to unite a diverse and vibrant community of changemakers, connecting them with the resources and support they need to succeed. Together, we are building a better world, one project at a time.

The Foundation actively solicits support from a broad range of donors to establish funds to address a wide variety of social concerns and community issues. The Foundation accepts unrestricted, donor advised, field of interest, designated, organization and project support. NSCF has established a wide variety of funds to meet identified needs of the Fairbanks North Star Borough, looking to the future as a charitable vehicle for Interior Alaskans.

The Foundation actively solicits gifts and grants to further the mission of the organization. We provide oversight on acceptance of gifts and donations to ensure funds are dedicated to the purpose of accomplishing Foundation goals while protecting its IRS tax exempt status.
